In July, UNESCO announced that the UNESCO Institute for Statistics (UIS) had developed new online tools to assist local stakeholders, governments, educators, donors and civil society members in analyzing and measuring the  latest indicators of progress towards the SDGs specifically related to Education.

These tools include UNESCO’s “Quick Guide to Education Indicators for SDG 4,” designed to assist those gathering and analyzing data related to Education around the world, and the “SDG Data Book: Global Education Indicators 2018.” The UIS has also produced the “SDG 4 Data Explorer” which displays data by country, region and year as well as by sex, location and wealth to see how well equality measures are being achieved. Additionally the UIS has produced what they call the “SDG 4 Cheat Sheet” that gives a quick reference of key terms and data sources.

UNESCO has more information about the data tools for SDG#4.
