“Once you have read a book you care about, some part of it is always with you.” – Louis L’Amour
Hello Friends!
We are excited to announce the Education Team's Third Annual Summer Global Book Read: I Believe in Zero by Caryl M. Stern, the President and CEO of the US Fund for UNICEF. Subtitled “Learning from the World's Children: ZERO Hunger, ZERO Poverty, ZERO Disease,” this book has something for everyone. From health issues to teaching our children the necessity of becoming global citizens, Stern manages to weave together stories based on history, humanitarian crises and relationships.
We invite you to read and discuss this book with your families and your clubs! Currently, the links on the UNICEF site are not working correctly, but as soon as they are, we will be posting links to both an Adult Discussion Guide and a Teacher’s Guide. We will be posting more info througout the summer to keep you reading... you will not regret the time you spend with this important piece of work!
Please contact us at if you have any questions and to update us on your club's journey with this book.
Best wishes for a fabulous summer, and we certainly hope this book “is always with you!” We encourage you to read on!
