Our focus in March and April on continuing education reminds us that learning should be a lifelong endeavor. As we celebrate Earth Day this April, it is easy to find links to Education SDG4 and the environment, especially in global citizenship, which we will explore in May and June. Just take a look at this sweet example by famed children’s author Beatrix Potter.
For more to consider in education this month:
- Should we be concerned about how much time our children spend reading a screen rather than a book? How Children Read Differently From Books vs. Screens – The New York Times.
- A lot has been written about the censorship taking place in Florida, but it is not all good news for those who would ban books: Florida’s Ongoing Censorship Campaign: Cracks in the Facade.
- For some, April is about poetry! O, Miami Poetry Festival.
