Every Day is 16 Days

Every day is part of the 16 Days of activism to eliminate gender-based violence. 16 Days

The 16 Days campaign is most active from November 25 (United Nations Day to End Gender-Based Violence) through December 10 (Human Rights Day, marking the anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights).

In reality, every day is a day to actively try to eliminate gender based violence. On May 3, 2020, it will be 10 years since college senior Yeardley Love was murdered in her apartment by a former boyfriend. She died of blunt force trauma. Both were lacrosse players at the University of Virginia. After her death, her mother and sister founded One Love (www.JoinOneLove.org), dedicated to helping young people recognize and build healthy relationships. Please share this resource with a young person whom you love so they can start on the path of actively recognizing healthy vs. unhealthy relationships. So that one day we may live in a world that doesn't need a 16 Days/Everyday campaign to eliminate gender-based violence.
