For many people, social, economic and human rights injustices are a part of everyday life and people continue to suffer as a result of unconscious biases in our society.
The death of George Floyd on May 25, 2020 at the hands of a police officer in Minneapolis sparked international condemnation. As people around the world watched the video of his death, there was a global call to action for those who care about racial justice and the Black Lives Matter movement to join in solidarity and say enough is enough, it is time for change.
Citizen activists from all walks of life, regardless of color, age, gender, religion, nationality have come together to demand equality and non-discrimination for everyone.
