Achieving Social Protection: A Teaching and Advocacy Curriculum
Susan O’Malley (Peer Leader, WHR TLAR Social Protection Module)
Achieving Social Protection: A Teaching and Advocacy Curriculum" will briefly present the findings of the 6 topics covered in the curriculum: universal healthcare, education, migration, social protection floors, housing and widows, and discuss how it can be used. COVID-19 made our work more urgent because of the lack of adequate social protection globally. The curriculum, grounded in Human Rights Documents, presents relevant facts and definitions, good practices (what has worked), what needs to be done and resources. NGOs doing advocacy work on each topic are listed.
