Since the conference we have been trying to keep the momentum going with small meetings and have had two so far. At both we had lots of questions and presented different aspects of FAWCO to those present.
I have also adopted the practice of writing an article for our monthly Newsletter giving information about the FAWCO website and encouraging members to log onto the site and find out more.
I was encouraged to find that one member who has not looked at the website had a good grasp of information from my articles and is very much pro our involvement and affiliation to FAWCO.
I have also encouraged people to use the iGive.com and proved myself that this worked by sending my daughter flowers on her birthday in USA.
We still have a few members who are not very positive about FAWCO but we have decided to diffuse the situation and incorporate the FAWCO idea into our own methodology in the club.
Keeping fingers crossed, I hope that more of our members will see that FAWCO does not threaten what we do but assist us as we endeavour to keep looking at the bigger picture outside our cosy world of Munich- certainly one of the most prosperous cities in Europe at the moment.
Best wishes,
Margaret HIlditch
