Immigrant visas and other USCIS services for non-American family members

Procedures changed on August 15, 2011, so that Americans who live in countries which do not have USCIS (United States Citizenship and Immigration Service) offices can no longer use their local consulate or embassy to address immigration issues, filing immigrant visa petitions, for example.  Please check www.uscis.gov and look under ”Find a USCIS office" for the immigration office for the field office that administers the country in which you reside.
