FAWCO's partner organization AARO (Association of Americans Resident Overseas) is launching a survey of the overseas Americans community concerning the “denial of financial services” to US citizens and greencard holders.
There is no need today to describe the precarious situation in which many “US tax persons” find themselves because financial services are being denied both in the United States (though “Patriot Act” provisions do not require it) and abroad (due to FATCA-related reporting requirements).
AARO is requesting feedback from its global membership and from other concerned citizens outside its framework. In response to specific questions from Congressional committees, AARO has refined a questionnaire they are asking overseas Americans and overseas American organizations to circulate as widely as possible.
FAWCO encourages its members and visitors to its website to forward this questionnaire* to friends, family, organization members and partner organizations, to succeed in maximum coverage of the overseas American population.
