We are well into primary season and it is already clear that here, again, every vote counts!
Have you registered and requested your ballot? Remember that we are now required to do that every year and, in many cases, for every election in the year. Don’t let the votes be counted without yours!
Requesting your ballot is easy from Overseas Vote or the Federal Voting Assistance Program and remember to check the box requesting a ballot for every election in the year (remember there are also run-offs and special elections!).
Democrats living abroad have an alternative to voting in their state primary: the Democrats Abroad Global Primary (http://www.democratsabroad.org/global_presidential_primary) taking place this year from March 1 to 8 worldwide.
Remember, however, that registering for the “global primary” does not register you for the November election, so if you decide to vote in the “global primary”, register and request your ballot nonetheless from OVF or FVAP!
And remember also that voting in federal elections (President, Vice President, Senators and Congressperson) does not make you eligible for state taxes – there’s really no good reason not to vote in 2016!
