The Season of Giving

This year, instead of giving "stuff," help create a positive force and give a gift that improves lives. Give the opportunity to further a young women's education or the chance for a family to become self-sufficient through access to clean water. The Foundation works with amazing organizations everyday, and through your generosity we are that positive changing force. We also need donors for Development Grants and Education Awards that we give out each year.
Here are some gift ideas with lasting benefits:
- One Family Well can help multiple families access clean water for a kitchen garden, cooking, drinking and hygiene. The cost of $150 seems so minor when compared to the gift of helping a family gain their independence. Give a Donation Certificate for One Family Well or for an amount of your choice.
- Donate to our Education Awards or Development Grant Programs
- Help a young women in Burkina Faso further her education by giving to the NEEED Scholarship Program.
- Most likely this year you will be giving other things as well, in that case you can support The Foundation by using iGive when you shop online. There is no additional cost to you and it couldn't be any easier. Simple click here for a direct link. Every time you shop at one of over 900 stores, those stores will be donating to The Foundation.

Foundation Night at the BERN Conference
HEAR YE, HEAR YE, AUCTION ITEMS REQUESTED!!
(Plus Sneak Preview of Treasures for the Night)
Lords and Ladies of the realm of FAWCO, we are calling on you to help us make The FAWCO Foundation's fun-raising event in Bern spectacular.
Start gathering those items for the Silent Auction and Wishing Well; and don't forget about Live Auction donations*. Know of a commercial venture you'd love to stay at? Consider asking them for a free-stay to contribute to our evening.

Remember: items or monies donated may be tax deductable.

TARGET WATER PROJECT
While the end of the Target Program is close at hand - Officially December 31st - there are a number of clubs who have fundraising activities planned. Large or small, every amount makes a difference and we will be accepting donations for the Target Program until February 15th.
Our impressive donation total has risen and now stands at $1113.00.
This has resulted in the creation of 267 Family Wells, which provide water for personal and kitchen use for 3 families; and 283 Field Wells which provide water for 2 families' personal and kitchen use as well as for the irrigation that makes year round crop growth of rice and other crops possible.
This means that 1,367 families have a vastly better life due to the wells FAWCO (= YOU) has provided!!
Through your donations, FAWCO is truly changing the flow in Cambodia!

Friendship Quilt 2013 "Time"
Every year since 1995, FAWCO members throughout the world have contributed their creativity and sewing talents to the FAWCO Friendship Quilt. This international collaboration has resulted in a unique collection of stunning handmade quilts. The greatly coveted finished product is raffled each year at the FAWCO annual conference in order to raise money for The Foundation's programs and charitable causes.
We never seem to have enough of it, and yet it is infinite. As volunteers, it is our most precious gift. So what does Time mean to you?
Thank you Roberta Zollner and the individuals from various FAWCO clubs who contributed to this quilt.
We are waiting for Roberta to finish stitching and a photo will be sent out!!!
